Duties
- Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring smooth workflows across medical, nursing, administrative, and support staff.
- Manage fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial management, billing, coding, and revenue cycle processes using systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, Epic, or similar EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems.
- Supervise office staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and human resources functions to foster a motivated and compliant team environment.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and JCAHO standards by implementing policies for medical records management and patient confidentiality.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers on medical management tasks such as utilization management, managed care contracts, and acute or critical care procedures.
- Oversee clinic scheduling, patient flow, and appointment systems to maximize efficiency while ensuring excellent patient service.
- Monitor clinic inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance to support operational readiness.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations related to medical administrative support, billing practices, and documentation standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare management within a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks, Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial analysis, billing procedures and revenue cycle management.
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and medical records confidentiality protocols.
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology and clinical workflows across various specialties such as dental clinics or hospital environments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with human resources functions including staff recruitment, training and performance management.
- Knowledge of managed care processes and utilization management practices.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technology platforms like eClinicalWorks or Epic for efficient practice operations.
