Medical Purchasing Coordinator/Buyer

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong background in computer systems, particularly in the areas of medical and surgical ordering, receipts, and distribution. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, as they will be working closely with our main buyer, sales representatives, and other facilities. The primary working area is an office setting with some exposure to the warehouse and the OR. This position will float between the FirstHealth Hoke and Richmond campuses.
Responsibilities:
  • Medical/Surgical Ordering:
    • Manage and process medical and surgical orders using the company's computerized systems.
    • Ensure accuracy and timely fulfillment of orders to meet the needs of various departments.
  • Receipts and Distribution:
    • Oversee the receipt and distribution of medical supplies and equipment.
    • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the main buyer to ensure seamless procurement and supply chain operations.
    • Communicate effectively with sales representatives and staff from other facilities to coordinate and manage orders.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in medical or surgical ordering, receipts, and distribution is desirable.
    • Experience in a healthcare office environment is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in computer systems and software related to medical ordering and inventory management.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
