Medical Receptionist

Position Overview
We are seeking a professional, personable, and highly organized Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role is crucial to ensuring a seamless, welcoming, and efficient experience from the moment a patient enters our clinic. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintain attention to detail, and support both administrative operations and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a welcoming environment
• Answer phones, triage inquiries, and schedule appointments
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and collect copays
• Check patients in and out, maintain daily schedule flow, and coordinate with clinical staff
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes and secure messages
• Maintain a clean and professional front office and waiting area
• Assist with administrative projects and record keeping as needed
• Support patient engagement by providing helpful information about services and follow-ups

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in a medical office or front desk setting strongly preferred
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR); eClinicalWorks experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with professionalism and poise
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Enthusiasm for health, wellness, and patient care
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Experience in phlebotomy/medical assisting as a back-up is desired but not necessary
