MEDICAL SCRIBE

Kidney Care Center an established Nephrology practice in Little Rock, Arkansas, is currently accepting medical student applications for our scribe position(s). Highly motivated and driven Med Students seeking to gain more hands-on experience in a medical setting while enhancing their understanding of medical terminology and documentation processes and will work one on one in coordination with a physician rotation to ensure comprehensive and precise medical records are maintained in a hospital and office setting.

REQUIRED: Foreign Student applicants must currently reside in the United States with approved work status and Social Security number. You must not need sponsorship; Visa must be current and in good standing.

Must be proficient in spoken and written English language.

Duties

• Accurately document patient encounters, including history, physical examinations, and treatment plans during medical visits.
• Document medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all information is complete and accurate.
• Assist healthcare providers by managing electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring timely updates and retrieval of patient information.
• Maintain familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to facilitate effective communication with healthcare professionals.
• Support the medical office physician by organizing patient charts and ensuring all necessary documentation is available for appointments by Accurately transcribe patient history, physical examinations, and treatment plans during medical visits.
• Collaborate with the physician to streamline processes and improve patient care delivery.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with the physician and patients.

Requirements:

• Pre-health background (medical school)
• Experienced in medical terminology
• Ability to multitask in a high-acuity environment
• Fast typing speed
• Quick learner and critical thinker
• Proficient in English
• Must be at least 18 years old

Pay: $34,320.00 per year, 1 Year Contract Commitment
