Medical Scribe

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The Medical Scribe will work closely with physicians and medical staff to accurately document patient encounters, ensuring comprehensive and precise medical records. Prior medical office experience and familiarity with electronic medical records are highly valued. Duties

• Transcribe detailed physician-patient interactions in real-time during medical consultations using EMR/EHR systems
• Accurately document patient histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions
• Manage and update medical records ensuring completeness, accuracy, and confidentiality
• Assist healthcare providers by preparing documentation for procedures, lab results, and other clinical activities
• Utilize medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge to ensure precise record-keeping
• Support physicians in maintaining efficient workflow by minimizing documentation time and reducing administrative burdens
• Comply with all healthcare regulations regarding patient privacy and data security

Skills

• Proven experience in transcription and medical documentation
• Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical procedures
• Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed
• Previous experience in a medical office or emergency room setting is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
