Medical Scribe

Job Summary:
Here at Coastline we are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Scribe to join our team. As a Medical Scribe, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to accurately document patient encounters and assist with medical record management. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the medical field.

Responsibilities:
- Accurately transcribe and document patient encounters, including physical exams, diagnoses and treatment plans (objective portion of chart)
- Assist healthcare professionals with medical record management, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information
- Coding and minor billing duties

- Sending referrals and prior authorization

-Completing FMLA forms

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Anybody with interest in medicine is encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, systems, physiology, anatomy, and procedures is recommended but not required.

Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional multitasking abilities and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
