Duties

• Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient examinations, capturing vital signs, symptoms, diagnoses, treatment plans, and physician observations with accuracy and speed
• Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to input, update, and manage patient information securely and efficiently
• Assist healthcare providers by preparing documentation related to medical history, physical exams, procedures, and follow-up care
• Maintain organized and complete medical records, ensuring all documentation complies with legal standards and privacy regulations
• Support physicians by verifying the accuracy of medical documentation through thorough review of notes, reports, and test results
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately interpret clinical language and facilitate precise record-keeping
• Perform transcription tasks with proficiency in typing, ensuring minimal errors and timely updates during busy clinic hours

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a medical office setting or as a medical scribe is highly preferred
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient data entry and retrieval
• Solid understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy to accurately document complex clinical information
• Excellent transcription skills with fast typing speed and high accuracy levels
• Knowledge of medical records management practices to ensure confidentiality and compliance
• Experience working in emergency room environments is a plus due to the fast-paced nature of the role
• Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
