Medical Scribe and Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and document basic medical history
• Scribe and create a medical note of the visit in the EMR
• Organize and schedule appointments
• Arrange and perform basic laboratory draws and services
• Assist during medical examinations
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and prepare for minor procedures
• Send in refill authorizations electronically, by phone or fax
• Respond to labs requiring diagnosis codes

Skills

• Proven working experience as a medical assistant
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Team player and service oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
• Phlebotomy, taking vitals and medical assisting skills are desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
