Medical Transport Driver

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Medical Transport Driver to provide safe and timely transportation for patients and clients. This role requires a dedicated individual with excellent driving skills, strong customer service abilities, and a commitment to safety and care. The ideal candidate will have experience in shuttle driving, delivery, or bus operation, along with the ability to handle heavy lifting and maintain vehicle safety standards. This position offers an essential service supporting healthcare and community mobility needs.

Duties

• Safely operate vehicles such as vans, shuttles, or buses to transport patients, clients, or equipment.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the journey.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure optimal operation.
• Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe transportation at all times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, patients, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues.
• Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading equipment or mobility aids.
• Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or commercial driving roles such as limousine or school bus operation.
• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., <PERSON> driver license).
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to identify potential issues early.
• Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach toward passengers.
• Experience in paratransit services or specialized transportation is a plus.
• A clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents. This position is vital in providing reliable transportation services that support health care facilities and community programs while ensuring passenger safety and comfort at all times.
