Duties

• Receive and prioritize transportation requests via multi-line phone systems, email, and online platforms.
• Use transportation management systems such as Route Genie Management to schedule, dispatch, and track patient transports.
• Coordinate with drivers, medical facilities, and patients to confirm pick-up and drop-off details using GPS and GIS tools for optimal routing.
• Monitor fleet management systems to ensure vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate data entry of all dispatch activities, including trip details, driver logs, and incident reports.
• Communicate clearly with drivers and healthcare providers using professional phone etiquette and effective communication skills.
• Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within supply chain and logistics operations related to medical transport services.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dispatching or transportation management, preferably within healthcare or logistics industries.
• Strong knowledge of GPS navigation systems and transportation planning tools such as Route Genie Transportation Management.
• Excellent analysis skills to evaluate routing options, optimize schedules, and improve overall efficiency.
• Proficient in data entry with high accuracy; comfortable working with multi-line phone systems.
• Ability to handle fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail in documentation related to transportation planning and dispatching.
