FF&E Procurement Coordinator

Cam Cooke Designs is seeking a highly organized and proactive FF&E Procurement Coordinator to help execute luxury residential interior design projects across Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley.

This role is essential to transforming design plans into finished spaces. You will manage the procurement, tracking, delivery coordination, and installation logistics for furniture, lighting, rugs, art, and decor across multiple projects.

This is a boots-on-the-ground role that requires both strong administrative organization and the ability to coordinate real-world logistics — from managing purchase orders and vendor communication to overseeing deliveries and assisting with installation days.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and passionate about interior design, and enjoys ensuring that every piece of a project comes together smoothly.

This position requires someone based locally in the Palm Springs / Coachella Valley area, with the ability to travel between job sites, vendors, and receiving warehouses as needed.

Projects range from full-home renovations to complete furnishing installations, and we collaborate closely with contractors, artisans, and vendors to ensure every design is executed with precision and care.

Role Overview

The FF&E Procurement Coordinator manages the entire lifecycle of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) for our projects.

This includes:

  • issuing purchase orders confirming specifications with vendors tracking orders and shipments coordinating freight and receiving scheduling deliveries and installations assisting on-site during installs

This role bridges design, procurement, and project execution, ensuring that everything specified by the design team arrives correctly and is installed as intended.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Purchasing

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders for furniture, lighting, rugs, art, and accessories Confirm pricing, lead times, and specifications with vendors
  • Track deposits, balances, and payment schedules
  • Maintain organized procurement records across multiple projects
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve damages, delays, or order issues

Order Tracking & Logistics

  • Track FF&E orders from purchase through final delivery
  • Coordinate freight and delivery scheduling with vendors and receivers
  • Maintain accurate order status updates for the design team
  • Ensure all items arrive in time for scheduled installations

Installation Coordination

  • Assist in coordinating furniture deliveries and installation days
  • Work with the design team to ensure items are placed according to the design plan
  • Coordinate with delivery teams, installers, and vendors
  • Help troubleshoot issues that arise during installs

On-Site Project Logistics

This role requires someone comfortable being hands-on and mobile across projects.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Visiting job sites to coordinate deliveries or installations
  • Meeting delivery teams or receivers when needed
  • Transporting small items between vendors, the studio, and project sites
  • Ensuring installations run smoothly and according to plan

The position requires regular travel within Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley using your own vehicle.

Qualifications

Preferred experience includes:

  • Experience working in interior design, architecture, furniture showrooms, or staging companies
  • Familiarity with FF&E procurement and order management
  • Strong organizational and tracking skills
  • Ability to coordinate deliveries and installations
  • Excellent communication with vendors, trades, and team members
  • Experience working with receiving warehouses or furniture logistics

Requirements

  • Must be based in Palm Springs or the Coachella Valley Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Comfortable traveling locally between vendors, warehouses, and job sites
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
