Medicare Insurance Sales Representative

Job Overview

We are seeking a licensed, highly motivated, and self-driven individual to join our team as a Medicare Insurance Specialist. This professional will offer a full portfolio of Medicare insurance products, including Medicare Supplement plans, Medicare Advantage plans, and Part D Prescription Drug Plans. In addition to selling these products, the individual will provide ongoing service to clients as their insurance needs evolve.

A key responsibility of this role is to educate Citadel colleagues across divisions on how to identify Medicare-related opportunities for both new members and existing clients. The individual will also conduct educational seminars and webinars held within our branch locations.

All leads provided are warm leads, and there is no requirement to travel to clients’ homes. Client meetings will be conducted in our branch offices, and new opportunities will be generated directly from those locations.

This is a full-time position offering a base salary along with a competitive commission structure.

Responsibilities

  • Guide Medicare‑eligible individuals through available plan options from multiple carriers and assist them with completing and submitting applications.
  • Continuously build, strengthen, and maintain a high-quality network of business relationships that generate ongoing referrals for new insurance opportunities.
  • Collaborate with retail staff and Advisors to identify and pursue cross‑sell opportunities, proactively prospecting new insurance leads.
  • Assess clients’ individual needs and financial circumstances by conducting fact‑finding appointments, reviewing current coverage, and identifying long‑term goals.
  • Facilitate the full enrollment process, including securing underwriting approval, completing required documentation, delivering policies, and scheduling future follow‑up reviews.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all referrals to ensure exceptional client experience.
  • Provide regular training sessions using Citadel training materials, resources, and reference tools to deliver accurate and up‑to‑date information to both internal partners and external clients.
  • Recommend insurance products and services for implementation to the VP of Insurance Services.
  • Conduct periodic account reviews to ensure clients’ coverage continues to meet their evolving needs.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and all insurance products and services offered.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience selling Medicare insurance products
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, management, finance, or closely related field is preferred; CLU designation preferred
  • PA Life and Health Insurance Licenses required
  • Candidate will have experience selling Medicare products and will have participated in multiple Annual Enrollment Periods

Additional Skills/Notes

  • Exceptional sales orientation, ability to overcome sales objections, strong work ethic and goal orientation and strong oral presentation skills
  • Individual must complete and pass the AHIP certification to maintain their role.
