Job Summary
Administers prescribed medications to residents and maintains related medical records under supervision of Nurse. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, clinically sound professional, with a passion for providing quality care to the residents we are entrusted to care for.
Essential Functions:
- Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.
- Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified processes.
- Takes vital signs
- Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
- Receive supply of ordered medications and apportion, mix, or assemble drugs for administration to resident.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of state regulations regarding Assisted Living, Dementia Care and Resident Rights.
- Physically able to manage the duties of a large home.
- 0-6 months previous experience working with the elderly
- Computer Skills; Email and Microsoft Office experience
- Accuracy – Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Communication – Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Computer Skills – Proficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical record.
- Confidentiality – Maintain patient, team member and employer confidentiality. Comply with all HIPAA regulations.
- Customer Service Oriented – Friendly, cheerful, and helpful to patients and others. Ability to meet patients and others needs while following office policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:
- · High school diploma or equivalent required
- CNA/Med Tech Certificate Preferred
Work Environment:
- · Fast paced environment with occasional high pressure or emergent situations
- · Work hours subject to office needs to ensure coverage during all hours of operation
- · Frequent exposure to bodily fluids
- · Possible exposure to infectious specimens, communicable diseases, toxic substances; employment may require use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- · Frequent interaction with a diverse population including team members, providers, patients, and other outside services providers
Physical Demands:
- · Frequent sitting, standing, walking, grasping, carrying, and speaking
- · Occasional reaching, bending, and stooping
- · Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds, with assistance if needed
- · May need to lift or turn patients who are disabled, with assistance if needed
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
