We are looking for high energy, caring and professional Medication Technician for our Assisted Living Facility.

Experience: Medication Technician experience in an Assisted Living Facility or Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.

Job Functions:

• Provides privacy for the resident

• Checks for changes in orders and discontinued orders

• Assists with self-administration of medication as assigned within the scope of practice

• Assists with self-administration of medications, staying with each resident until the medication is consumed and charts appropriately

• Maintains upkeep and cleanliness of medication carts, wipes down top of medication cart daily

• Daily checks medication cart for upcoming expiration dates and notifies supervising nurse of all meds expiring

• Responsible for maintaining an accurate narcotic log and verifying count with oncoming Med Tech

• Notifies a supervising nurse at once if noting any adverse reaction of medication on resident

• Notes significant changes in condition of resident

• Communicates requests and problems to appropriate personnel
