Job Description

Our client, a leading cultural organization, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Memberships Communications Specialist who will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies for membership programs across a leading cultural and creative organization. The role ensures consistent, engaging, and timely communication that strengthens member relationships, enhances brand positioning, and supports overall organizational objectives. Working closely with marketing, memberships, and visitor services teams, this position plays a key role in driving member engagement, retention, and value perception.


Key Responsibilities


Content Creation & Communication Management


  • Develop and manage membership communication plans, calendars, and messaging across all channels.

  • Act as the main point of contact for all membership-related communications in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team.

  • Create high-quality digital and print materials highlighting membership benefits, exclusive content, and upcoming events.

  • Proofread and edit all communication materials to ensure clarity, consistency, and brand alignment.

  • Manage and oversee remote contractors supporting membership communications and marketing activities, when required.

  • Define KPIs and evaluate campaign performance using analytics to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.


Event Communications & Member Engagement


  • Support communications for member-exclusive events, including private tours, workshops, and previews.

  • Develop pre- and post-event content such as highlights, testimonials, and follow-up communications to increase engagement.

  • Create and maintain member communication templates, including welcome messages, response templates, retention, and renewal communications.


Digital & Social Media Communications


  • Coordinate membership-related social media content in collaboration with the social media and marketing teams.

  • Analyze digital and social engagement data to optimize member visibility and community growth.

  • Generate creative digital content ideas such as behind-the-scenes features, member stories, and interviews.

  • Manage and update membership content across the website, newsletters, CRM communications, push notifications, and mobile applications.


Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination


  • Work closely with membership, marketing, visitor services, and design teams to ensure consistent messaging and visual identity.

  • Collaborate with in-house designers to produce visually compelling communication materials.

  • Review drafts, incorporate feedback, and ensure final outputs meet quality and brand standards.

  • Support the Head of Memberships on special initiatives, major campaigns, partnerships, and new member programs.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in communications, public relations, or a related role.

  • Proven experience developing and executing strategic communication plans.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong understanding of audience segmentation and tailored messaging.

  • Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp), social media channels, and Content Management Systems (CMS).

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Arabic language proficiency is a strong advantage.
