MEP BIM COORDINATOR

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) BIM models across all disciplines to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards.
• Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and MEP consultants to integrate and resolve design issues using BIM tools.
• Develop and maintain project BIM execution plans and ensure all stakeholders adhere to BIM processes and standards.
• Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues using tools such as Navisworks, Revit, or similar software.
• Ensure timely updates and delivery of BIM models at each project milestone.
• Generate and manage schedules, quantities, and shop drawings from the BIM model.
• Coordinate with BIM Managers or Project Managers for model submissions, federated models, and data exchange requirements.
• Contact with third-party BIM service providers to ensure alignment with project requirements, standards, and deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in MEP BIM coordination within the construction or engineering industry.
• Proficient in Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks Manage, and BIM 360.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction practices.
• Familiarity with international BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650, PAS 1192).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
