1. Coordination & Planning
- Review MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Coordinate between MEP subcontractors, civil teams, architects, and consultants.
- Prepare coordination drawings (2D/3D) to resolve clashes before execution.
- Ensure all MEP works align with the project schedule and milestones.
2. Technical Review & Clash Resolution
- Conduct clash detection using BIM models or coordination drawings.
- Lead technical meetings to resolve conflicts between disciplines (HVAC vs. electrical, plumbing vs. structural, etc.).
- Verify that MEP designs comply with local codes, standards, and client requirements.
3. Site Execution Support
- Monitor on-site MEP installation to ensure it matches approved drawings.
- Provide technical guidance to site engineers and supervisors.
- Coordinate material deliveries and ensure correct materials are used.
- Identify and resolve site issues quickly to avoid delays.
4. Documentation & Approvals
- Prepare and submit shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
- Follow up with consultants for approvals.
- Maintain logs for drawings, RFIs, approvals, and inspections.
- Ensure as-built drawings are updated and accurate.
5. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Coordinate testing and commissioning of all MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, ELV).
- Ensure compliance with commissioning procedures and standards.
- Prepare handover documentation, O&M manuals, and training sessions for the client.
6. Communication & Meetings
- Attend weekly coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Present progress updates and highlight risks or delays.
- Communicate design changes and ensure all teams are aligned.
7. Quality & Safety Compliance
- Ensure all MEP works follow QA/QC procedures.
- Coordinate inspections with consultants and authorities.
- Support safety teams by ensuring MEP activities follow HSE requirements.
