Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field).

Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP estimation.

Strong knowledge of local vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Proficiency in estimation software.

Excellent understanding of MEP systems, construction methodologies, and codes.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Review tender documents, project specifications, and technical drawings to assess project scope.

Develop detailed cost estimates for MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting).

Accurately quantify materials, labor, equipment, and staffing needs using estimation tools.

Raise and track RFIs for missing or unclear project data to ensure estimation accuracy.

Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and design teams for up-to-date inputs.

Prepare BOQs, cost breakdowns, and technical submissions aligned with tender requirements.

Attend bid clarification meetings and actively participate in client negotiations.

Present MEP systems clearly and professionally through detailed technical presentations.

Review subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and compliance.

Support value engineering efforts for cost optimization without compromising quality.

Maintain meticulous records of estimates, assumptions, and cost data.

Follow up on submitted tenders and maintain strong client communication.

Proactively pursue and acquire new clients to grow business opportunities.
