Estimator – Mid-Level (Aluminum & Façade Industry)

• Review and analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents for façade and aluminum systems.
• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for aluminum curtain wall systems, windows, doors, cladding, and glazing.
• Identify material, labor, and time requirements for each project.
• Request and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Perform take-offs using estimating software or CAD tools.
• Collaborate with the engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure alignment of scope and pricing.
• Maintain a database of unit costs, suppliers, and subcontractor pricing.
• Participate in bid reviews, negotiations, and post-bid clarifications with clients and general contractors.
• Monitor project budgets and provide cost updates when required.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to scope, materials, and site conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of estimating experience in the aluminum façade, curtain wall, or cladding industry.
• Strong understanding of building envelope systems and construction processes.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, Excel, or similar tools).
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external coordination.
• Knowledge of local codes and industry standards is an asset.
• Diploma or degree in construction, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
