FM Estimator

Job Summary:

The FM Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various facilities management projects. This includes analyzing project requirements, assessing labor, materials, and equipment costs, and ensuring that estimates align with the organization’s budgeting and project management strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, knowledge of industry standards, and experience in estimating within facilities management or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project requirements and specifications to develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for facilities management services, including maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and installations.
• Review architectural, structural, and engineering plans to identify project scope and estimate associated costs.
• Prepare estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor expenses, and other project-related costs.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement, and other stakeholders to gather relevant information and refine estimates.
• Maintain a database of historical costs and pricing data for various services, materials, and vendors.
• Conduct site visits when required to assess project conditions and gather data to support accurate estimations.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to source competitive pricing and establish reliable vendor relationships.
• Present estimates, project budgets, and other documentation to management for approval and provide cost-saving recommendations where applicable.
• Monitor actual project costs versus estimated costs, identifying variances and recommending adjustments as necessary.

Required Criteria:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification
• 6+ years experience in facility management industry
• Certification in Facilities Management or Cost Estimating (e.g., IFMA, AACE).
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
