Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepares and estimates budget costs for joinery/fit out/mep by studying plans and specifications.
• Studying documentation, meeting with clients, and inspecting the construction site to fully understand what work is required.
• Prepare comprehensive and well-organized cost estimates, including breakdowns of labor and material costs, for review by project managers and clients.
• Getting quotes from suppliers and contractors.
• Assessing the risk levels associated with a project.
• Work closely with project managers and designers.

Job Qualifications:

• Ability to navigate specifications and plans
• Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects
• Ability to handle multiple assignments
• Strong knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and building codes/regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with joinery-specific estimation software or CAD is required.
• At least 4 years of proven experience as a joinery estimator or similar role in the joinery/fit out and mep companies
• Professional certification in estimating is a plus.
