MEP Engineer

About the role

You will be responsible for providing Technical inputs basically related to Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing, Fire systems and other FM Maintenance activities in the QR Commercial buildings in day to day functioning Facilities Maintenance including contributing for improvement projects.

Accountabilities

• Maintenance of all MEP, Fire systems and other maintenance activities in the related facilities. Ensuring that systems and equipment are functional at all times by timely maintenance and repairs as well routine maintenance activities.

• Schedule for the Preventative Maintenance of all the equipment and system and ensure that they are completed as per the schedule

• Inspect actual maintenance tasks during and after completion by contracted parties.

• Representing the internal customer requirements, compiling detailed scope of works and Bill of quantities for submission to the consultants and contractors and Procurement.

• Generate and update reports on maintenance tasks with regards to outstanding defects, work-in- progress, adherence to completion dates and contractor compliance to health, safety, environmental and legislative requirements and coordinate with the Service providers as the Annual maintenance Contracts to ensure all the periodic maintenance activities are followed.

• Inspect the existing systems and advise on capital repairs / replacement of old and outdated equipment.

• Deliver a plan that supports operational requirements to support QR Facilities Management and undertake periodic / routine inspections of all systems and implement control measures to reduce energy cost.

• Conduct the regular Performance Evaluation of all the appointed Service providers, and highlight the issues with the Service providers to rectify / improve.

About you

You will possess:

• Minimum Qualification - Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical / Mechanical
• Minimum 4 years of work experience in FM operation in MEP area
• Experience with Airline industry, Hospital or Hotel is preferred
• Command of English language
