Job Summary
The MEP Engineer is responsible for the design, coordination, installation, testing, and maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in building projects. The role ensures that all MEP systems are efficient, safe, compliant with codes, and aligned with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review MEP systems including HVAC, electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, plumbing, and drainage
- Prepare MEP drawings, calculations, specifications, and BOQs
- Coordinate MEP works with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements
- Supervise site installation and ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and standards
- Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems
- Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Identify design or site issues and propose effective technical solutions
- Monitor project progress and report on MEP-related activities
- Support energy efficiency, sustainability, and value engineering initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 2–5 years of relevant experience (depending on seniority level)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Familiarity with local and international codes (ASHRAE, NEC, NFPA, etc.)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit MEP knowledge is a plus
- Good understanding of construction methods and site practices
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
