We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical / MEP Engineer (HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Fighting) with a specialization in Fire Fighting, Plumbing, and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the design, Coordination, implementation and Validation of MEP systems, with a strong emphasis on Fire protection, Plumbing networks, and HVAC installations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure designs comply with local codes and standards
- Oversee HVAC/ Plumbing project execution, ensuring that installations meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate HVAC systems with overall building design.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet project goals.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
- Conduct thorough inspections of MEP installations on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Identify discrepancies between design intent and actual site conditions; propose corrective actions as needed.
- Validate the quality and functionality of installed MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and firefighting systems.
- Utilize knowledge of MEP Equipments to ensure proper selection and installation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to HVAC / Plumbing systems.
- Validate the performance of equipment such as chillers, pumps, fans, lighting, and emergency systems under operating conditions.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other team members to ensure smooth project execution.
- Prepare and present progress reports, technical documentation, and recommendations to project stakeholders.
- Facilitate clear communication between the MEP department and other departments involved in the project.
- Prepare detailed site validation reports, including non-conformance issues and recommended solutions.
- Review MEP designs for technical accuracy, adherence to project specifications, and compatibility with architectural and structural plans.
- Ensure designs meet local codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, local building codes).
- Evaluate design optimization opportunities to enhance system performance and energy efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years and above experience in MEP design and engineering, focusing on firefighting, plumbing, and HVAC systems, with a focus on high-rise building construction.
- Expertise in managing complex projects from conception through to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software tools.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international building codes, standards, and regulations related to MEP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and project team members.
