Role Overview

The MEP Engineer is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of all MEP systems across our managed facilities. This role ensures that all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with local regulations and client SLAs (Service Level Agreements).

Key Responsibilities

  • System Maintenance & Operations: Oversee the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance for all HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BMS (Building Management Systems), and fire life safety systems.
  • Team Supervision: Manage, train, and support a team of site technicians, electricians, and plumbers to ensure high-quality workmanship and timely completion of work orders.
  • Vendor & Sub-contractor Management: Coordinate with external specialized contractors, ensuring their work meets quality standards, safety protocols, and contract specifications.
  • Reporting: Utilize the CAFM (Computer-Aided Facility Management) system to track work orders, monitor maintenance schedules, and generate operational reports for management and clients.
  • Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Diagnose complex mechanical or electrical faults, provide effective technical solutions, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE): Ensure all MEP operations strictly adhere to local HSE regulations, company policies, and best practices. Conduct regular site safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Energy Management: Monitor utility consumption and propose energy-saving initiatives, system upgrades, or operational tweaks to optimize building efficiency.
  • Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients and tenants regarding maintenance schedules, system outages, and technical updates.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum of [3–5] years of proven experience as an MEP Engineer, specifically within the Facilities Management or Property Management industry.
  • Technical Expertise: * In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems (chillers, AHUs, FCUs), electrical distribution, plumbing networks, and fire safety systems.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and hands-on experience with CAFM/CMMS software (e.g., Maximo, Concept Evolution, FSI).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong leadership skills, and clear verbal and written communication.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
