Job Title: MEP Inspector

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Purpose

The MEP Inspector is responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and ensuring that all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, local authority regulations, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Supervision

• Inspect MEP works on site including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, and ELV systems.
• Ensure works are carried out as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Monitor daily site activities and report progress and non-conformities.

Quality Control

• Conduct inspections at various stages of construction and installation.
• Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and follow up on corrective actions.
• Verify materials delivered to site comply with approved material submittals.

Coordination

• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other disciplines.
• Ensure MEP works are properly coordinated with architectural and structural works to avoid clashes.
• Attend site meetings and technical discussions as required.

Testing & Commissioning

• Witness testing, commissioning, and performance checks of MEP systems.
• Ensure systems meet project requirements and authority approvals.
• Verify as-built drawings and operation & maintenance (O&M) manuals.

Compliance & Authorities

• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi authorities’ regulations (ADM, DCD, ADDC, Estidama, etc.).
• Assist during inspections by local authorities and ensure closure of comments.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain site inspection records, daily reports, and snag lists.
• Review contractor submissions related to MEP works.
• Support handover and project close-out activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 5–10 years of MEP inspection experience (UAE experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of UAE codes, standards, and authority requirements.
• Experience working with consultants.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
• Proficient in MS Office and basic reporting tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED9,000.00 per month
