MEP laborer

Job Summary:

We are seeking hardworking and dedicated MEP Laborers to assist with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation and maintenance work at construction sites. The ideal candidates will support skilled tradesmen and technicians by performing various manual tasks, ensuring work areas are clean and organized, and helping to ensure that MEP systems are installed and maintained to required specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of MEP systems (HVAC, piping, wiring, plumbing, etc.)
• Carry and move materials, tools, and equipment to the designated work areas.
• Support skilled workers in setting up and dismantling scaffolding, ladders, and other temporary structures.
• Perform basic tasks such as cutting pipes, bending conduits, and fastening materials.
• Clean and prepare work areas, including removing debris and ensuring tools are stored safely.
• Help with cable pulling, conduit installation, pipe fitting, and duct installation as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
• Report any hazards or unsafe practices to the supervisor immediately.
• Assist with testing and commissioning processes when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or technician.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Prior experience in construction or MEP work preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction safety practices.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work long hours, often outdoors or in confined spaces.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safety and quality work standards.

Education and Certification Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent; however, a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field is often preferred.
