MEP Mechanical Draftsman (Office-Based)

Job Summary

Burtville Development is looking for an experienced MEP Mechanical Draftsman with strong expertise in HVAC, Plumbing/Drainage, and Firefighting systems. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in preparing detailed technical drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting project design development in compliance with UAE standards and authority requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 6 - 8 years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing/drainage, and firefighting drafting standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and preparation of detailed MEP shop and tender drawings.
• Good understanding of UAE authority regulations and construction practices.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, architects, and other disciplines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting documentation.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting drawings based on engineering design requirements.
• Coordinate MEP services with reflected ceiling plans (RCP), wall elevations, and architectural layouts.
• Produce sections, schematic details, legends, and technical drawings for tender and construction stages.
• Update and revise drawings in accordance with authority comments and project requirements.
• Assist in quantity take-off and BOQ preparation.
• Maintain proper drawing documentation and revision control throughout project stages.
• Coordinate with the design team to ensure accuracy and clash-free layouts.
