MEP QA/QC Engineer

We are seeking an experienced MEP QC Engineer to oversee the quality assurance and quality control of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations for a prestigious high-rise construction project in Dubai. The successful candidate will ensure that all MEP systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, meet local and international standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. This role involves rigorous inspection, testing, and documentation of MEP installations from the initial phase through to project handover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of MEP systems, including electrical wiring, panels, transformers, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems, and more, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Verify proper installation and functionality of electrical systems (e.g., fire alarm, emergency lighting, power systems) as well as mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC units, pumps, chillers, piping networks).
• Ensure all MEP work adheres to local regulations (e.g., DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence), international codes, and the project's specific requirements.
• Perform insulation resistance testing, continuity testing, high-voltage testing, and HVAC performance testing to confirm system integrity.
• Oversee functional testing and commissioning of electrical panels, transformers, HVAC units, pumps, valves, and other critical mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Ensure proper calibration and operation of all MEP components before they are energized or operational.
• Prepare and review Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and material submittals to ensure alignment with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain detailed inspection logs, testing reports, and records of non-conformance reports (NCRs) for auditing purposes.
• Generate and review quality control reports, providing feedback to site management teams regarding the status of MEP work.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and local authorities for site inspections, approvals, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in regular project meetings to report on MEP quality status, address potential issues, and ensure timely resolution.
• Act as a liaison between the project team, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and MEP codes, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure all MEP installations are safe and meet compliance requirements.
• Monitor and enforce the proper implementation of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Ensure that all MEP installations are fully functional, comply with project requirements, and are ready for final handover.
• Assist in the preparation of final handover documentation, including as-built drawings, test results, and compliance certificates.
• Ensure the completion of all punch list items and resolve any quality-related issues prior to project handover.

Pay: From AED4,500.00 per month
