MEP Quantity Surveyor

Job Responsibilities

Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for MEP works related to airport infrastructure projects.

Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection.

Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including cost breakdowns and pricing schedules for MEP works.

Support the evaluation of contractor and supplier bids for MEP systems, helping to ensure alignment with project requirements and budget constraints.

Assist in contract administration for MEP works, including helping prepare documentation for variations and claims.

Track and monitor project costs and expenditures for MEP works under the guidance of senior team members.

Help identify potential cost overruns and gather data to assist senior management in mitigating financial risks.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost tracking and data collection for MEP works.

Assist in the preparation of regular cost reports, forecasts, and financial updates for senior management and clients.

Ensure all assigned cost-related activities comply with local regulations, industry standards, and project-specific guidelines.

Maintain an eagerness to learn and stay updated on emerging trends in MEP quantity surveying and airport infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

2 to 3 years of experience in quantity surveying for MEP works, preferably within commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

Exposure to or basic understanding of complex facilities (such as commercial and residential buildings, or large-scale HVAC systems) is a strong advantage.

Additional Information

Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in quantity take-offs and cost estimation.

Good verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers.

Proactive attitude with the ability to help identify cost-related challenges and a willingness to learn how to provide effective solutions.

Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
