MEP Storekeeper

We are looking for an experienced MEP Storekeeper who is responsible for overseeing the receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, and precise inventory control of specialized technical materials. They act as the vital link between procurement, project managers, and site teams to ensure construction operations run smoothly.

The position typically requires at least minimum of 1 -3 years of UAE experience, a diploma in engineering or inventory management, and proficiency in ERP inventory systems and MS Excel.

Core Responsibilities

1. Material Receiving & Quality Control

  • Receive and physically inspect all incoming MEP materials (e.g., HVAC units, cables, pipes, and fixtures) against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Verify that the quantity, quality, and specifications of the delivered goods match project requirements.
  • Report and document any damaged, defective, or missing items immediately.

2. Storage & Warehousing

  • Categorize and store materials securely, ensuring sensitive items (e.g., electrical switchgears, copper coils) are protected from environmental damage.
  • Maintain a clean, highly organized, and logically labeled storage area for quick retrieval.
  • Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, including hazardous material storage and fire safety.

3. Inventory Control & Issuance

  • Issue materials to site engineers and installation teams based strictly on approved Store Requisition Forms.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using manual ledgers and computerized ERP.
  • Conduct routine physical stock counts (daily, weekly, or monthly) and reconcile them with system records to prevent stockouts or overstocking.

4. Site & Procurement Coordination

  • Monitor consumption rates and alert procurement teams well in advance for stock replenishment.
  • Prepare and submit regular material status, stock variance, and consumption reports to the project management team.

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of MEP terminology, specifications, and part numbers.
  • Documentation: Accuracy in preparing Goods Received Notes (GRNs), Material Transfer Vouchers, and Store Issue Vouchers.
  • Physical Stamina & Organization: Ability to lift heavy objects and oversee warehouse logistics.
  • Software: Strong command of MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP software.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ajman: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
