Key Responsibilities
- Supervision and Coordination: Manage and direct the technical team, ensuring high-quality engineering and maintenance services are delivered.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and guide MEP technicians and other personnel involved in maintenance and repair activities.
- Maintenance & Repair: Oversee scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests to ensure equipment and system functionality.
- Work Order Management:Create, assign, and track work orders, ensuring proper documentation of labor, time, and materials used for each task.
- Inspections & Quality Control:Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality, ensure compliance with standards, and identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Safety & Compliance:Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety procedures and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), as well as compliance with relevant regulations and building codes.
- Resource Management:Ensure optimal use of manpower and resources, including managing spare parts and materials inventory.
- Coordination:Liaise with other teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of services and satisfactory project completion.
- Reporting:Submit accurate reports on maintenance activities, staff performance, and resource usage.
- Emergency Response:Respond to emergency situations and assist with after-hours operations as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Supervisory Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a technical team.
- Problem-Solving: Skills in diagnosing and resolving technical problems efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with teams, contractors, and management.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to schedule tasks, manage workflows, and maintain accurate records.
- Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of health and safety standards in an MEP environment.
- Educational Background: A relevant technical diploma or engineering degree is often preferred.
