Job Summary:
-
The MEP Technician is responsible for supporting the MEP activities like the installation, testing, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and hands-on troubleshooting of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in a luxury hotel environment.

During the pre-opening phase, this role is critical in ensuring all MEP systems operate efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Actively support pre-opening MEP activities including inspections, testing, commissioning, snag clearance, and system handover.

Perform hands-on troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, ELV, and BMS-related issues.

Operate, maintain, and repair MEP systems to ensure uninterrupted hotel operations.

Execute preventive and corrective maintenance in line with approved schedules and hotel standards.

Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, as-built documents, and O&M manuals.

Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to resolve system defects and operational issues during pre-opening and post-opening phases.

Respond promptly and effectively to emergency maintenance situations.

Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, safety standards, and luxury hotel brand requirements.

Maintain accurate maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and spare parts records.

Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies at all times.

Support energy efficiency initiatives and sustainable operation of all MEP systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
MUST have a Bachelor's Degree OR Technical diploma or ITI certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering - IN CAMPUS completion

Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting MEP-related issues, preferably in a 5-star hotel or luxury hospitality environment.

Previous hotel pre-opening experience is an advantage.

Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting systems, and BMS.

Ability to independently identify faults, analyze root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
