JOB PURPOSE


The Merchandising Allocator plays a crucial role in ensuring stores have the necessary stock to meet sales objectives. This involves managing the efficient allocation of inventory from the Distribution Center (DC), coordinating internal stock transfers, and aligning store stock levels with demand forecasts to optimize sales performance.


Qualifications and Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication skills.


  • Experience:
  • 1- 2 years of experience on the job training in retail merchandising/ planning.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate shipments to stores, based on assigned profiles and sales projections, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Handle frequent replenishment allocations from the Distribution Center (DC) to stores through automated systems, optimizing stock levels.
  • Act as a liaison between stores and the demand planning team, communicating feedback and market insights to improve product supply quality.
  • Generate and analyze reports on store stock levels, coverage, and DC allocation activities to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the planning process for the relevant market, adhering to category guidance and policies to ensure optimal product availability while meeting stock targets.
  • Support product-related marketing initiatives (launches, relaunches, and visibility activities), providing performance analysis to ensure alignment with ROI objectives.
  • Collaborate with category teams to manage the phasing in and out of products and brands, ensuring smooth transitions and up-to-date store profiles.
