💼 About the Role:

The Merchandise Buyer – Sneakers & Apparel is responsible for selecting, purchasing, and managing inventory of sneakers, streetwear, and related apparel that align with the store’s brand identity and customer demand. This role requires strong market knowledge, trend forecasting, vendor relationship management, and a passion for sneaker and streetwear culture.

🌟 Key Responsibilities:

• Research and analyze sneaker and apparel trends, consumer demand, and competitor activity.

• Select and purchase sneakers, apparel, and accessories that fit the store’s target market and sales strategy.

• Build and maintain relationships with brands, distributors, and vendors to secure key product allocations and exclusive releases.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to maximize profitability.

• Monitor inventory levels, sell-through rates, and product performance; adjust buying strategies as needed.

• Collaborate with marketing and store teams to plan product launches, drops, and promotions.

• Ensure a balanced assortment of products across styles, price points, and categories.

• Attend trade shows, fashion weeks, and brand showrooms to stay ahead of trends and upcoming collections.

✅ Qualifications

• Proven experience as a buyer or merchandise planner, ideally in sneakers, streetwear, or fashion retail.

• Strong knowledge of sneaker culture, hype releases, and apparel market trends.

• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.

• Ability to forecast demand and manage budgets effectively.

• Strong vendor and relationship management abilities.

• Passion for sneakers, fashion, and urban culture.
