A leading company that produce Oil and Soybeans is seeking for a motivated Merchant to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing product trends, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure a compelling and profitable product assortment. You will work closely with various teams, including marketing and merchandising, to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities::

• Assist in structuring and executing the commodity strategy, integrating crush and sales volumes with the primary objective of maximizing profitable crush outcomes.
• Follow up on sales and withdrawals of the bi-products.
• Build strong relationships with customers and market players locally and internationally.
• Develop a view on international markets to optimize timing of hedging and be able to provide adequate advice to customers when needed for their pricing.
• Monitor and report P/L of the group. Must be aware and able to interpret of all the components (including below the line) that make up the P/L.
• Work with the finance team to estimate and reconcile the P/L.
• Update and analyze Egypt and global supply and demand grids of soybeans, soybean meal, soybean oil, sunflower oil, and palm oil as well as any other relevant commodities.
• Track the FX position and ensure the group is within the agreed upon limits.
• Interpret and report the group trading position and be able to identify and explain the implied risks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business/Economics/Actuarial Science.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant field, preferably exposure to FX, equity, or commodity trading, as well as poultry production.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of fundamental and technical skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong proficiency with spreadsheet and data management tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform well under pressure and make rapid decisions.
