Qualification & Experience:
Essential:
- BA with 2 to 5 years relevant experience in Mess handling.
Desirable:
- Retired personnel such as Administrative JCOs, Havildars, and Supervisors may also apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of mess staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee food preparation, serving, and cleanliness following health and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain sufficient stock.
- Train and mentor mess staff on proper food handling, sanitation procedures, and customer service.
- Enforce compliance with organizational policies and procedures, including hygiene regulations and portion control.
- Address student concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Maintain records of inventory, expenses, and staff schedules.
- Collaborate with management to develop menus, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulations.
- Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure cost-effectiveness by reducing unnecessary expenses and minimizing waste.
- Must have knowledge regarding computer to maintain and save data digitally.
- Conduct monthly stock-taking to determine inventory levels, stock value, and identify any discrepancies.
- Ensure cleanliness of the store.
- Ensure up-to-date information on market rates for procurement of ration.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Storekeeping, Ration demanding & receiving, accounting, catering, knowledge of market rates.

- Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.
Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOCfrom Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply after seeking NOC from their respective parent department / organizations.
- Late / incomplete applications will be ignored.
- Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
