Metal Fabrication Estimator/Office Manager

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Metal Fabrication Estimator and general office manager to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, preparing detailed cost estimates, and collaborating closely with customers, suppliers, and the fabrication team to ensure successful project execution. You will work side by side with the owner fielding customer inquiries and acting as the laison between customers and the fabrication team. You will also help prepare files for water jetting using Omax, ProNest, and Adobe Illustrator software.

Duties

• Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop precise estimates for metal fabrication projects
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand project scope and timeline.
• Prepare cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services
• Monitor project costs throughout the fabrication process to ensure adherence to budgets and identify potential cost-saving opportunities
• Maintain organized records of all estimating documents, contracts, and correspondence for future reference
• Work closely with customers from first point of contact to completion of each project.

Experience

• Proven experience in estimating (preferrably metal fabrication)
• Strong knowledge of fabrication principles and techniques
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong computer skills.
• Experience with CAD, Nesting, and Adobe Illustrator software preferred.

Pay: $25.85 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
