Meter Technician

About the Role

We are looking for a Full-Time Meter Technician to support our water sector client across the Eastern Victoria Region at first, and then to where required. Each day you will be required to support the Lead Plumber in exchanging water meters.

Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

• Support Water Meter replacement & assembly maintenance
• Assist & follow correct replacement procedures
• Customer Service - face to face and phone
• Perform tasks within budgets and time frame
• Follow instruction provided by the Lead Plumbe
• Ensure that all tasks are performed in a manner consistent with state and company OH&S policies and procedures

About you

We are looking for reliable and dedicated individuals to support our qualified plumbers on a variety of projects.

Must be willing to travel between Warragul and Orbost and be away from home Monday - Friday.

This would suit someone looking to start their career in metering and gain valuable hands-on experience working with a lead plumbers on a project which runs indicatively until August 2026. There will be other projects for you to work on after this project wraps up.

The ideal candidates will possess the following:

• Strong mechanical aptitude - proficient with hand tools.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic with a willingness to learn
• An aptitude for problem solving
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of meeting deadlines
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work under supervision both individually and occasionally in a team setting.
• Able to do a lot of bending, squatting and walking (moderate degree of physical fitness)
• Ability to work in most weather conditions.
• Own basic hand tools
• A current driver's licence
• A red/ white card
