Microschool Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for children. This role involves engaging with students, developing curriculum, and implementing effective teaching strategies to promote literacy, behavior management, and overall childhood development. Candidates driven by compensation and/or extrinsic motivation need not apply- this is a startup.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Foster a nurturing and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a productive learning atmosphere.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide feedback to parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with other educators to create interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Provide individualized support for students with special needs through early intervention strategies.
• Incorporate literacy education into daily activities to enhance reading and writing skills.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Supervise children during various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting is essential.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
• Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning is highly desirable.
• Experience in special education or working with diverse learning needs is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required for effective interaction with students and families.
• Previous experience in preschool, daycare, and/or high school settings is beneficial.
