Mid-Level SEO Specialist – Source Code Academia

As part of our Digital Marketing team, you will work onsite at our modern Rawalpindi office (Bahria Town Phase 7) and play a key role in increasing our visibility to learners worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough keyword research and strategy development to identify high-impact search terms aligned with our educational content.
• Optimize on-page elements (titles, meta descriptions, headers, images, internal links, URL structures) to improve search rankings and user experience.
• Perform technical SEO audits and fixes – resolving crawl errors, improving site speed, ensuring mobile responsiveness, implementing schema markup, and optimizing site architecture.
• Collaborate with content and instructional design teams to develop and refine SEO-friendly content (blog articles, course pages, landing pages) that meets user intent and helps learners find relevant resources.
• Plan and execute link-building and off-page SEO strategies, including outreach to educational partners and influencers, to acquire quality backlinks and strengthen domain authority.
• Monitor and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console – analyze organic traffic, keyword rankings, and conversion metrics, and translate data into clear recommendations.
• Analyze competitor SEO strategies and industry trends to identify content gaps and optimization opportunities.
• Work closely with web developers and designers, providing SEO guidance to integrate best practices into site structure, navigation, and UX.
• Stay up-to-date on search engine algorithms, industry updates, and emerging SEO techniques; continuously test and implement new approaches to improve our rankings.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3–5 years of SEO experience (in-house or agency) with a proven record of driving organic traffic and growth.
• Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals: on-page SEO, off-page/link-building, and technical SEO.
• Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools: experience using platforms such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, etc.
• Strong analytical skills: ability to interpret data from Google Analytics/Search Console and other SEO reports, build dashboards, and derive actionable insights.
• Experience with website CMS (e.g. WordPress, Drupal) and working knowledge of HTML/CSS for implementing on-page recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to present data-driven insights clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Interest or experience in the education/EdTech sector is a plus.
