About Parisi Academy

Parisi Academy is launching in the North Raleigh area for the 2026–2027 school year.

This academy is designed specifically for rising 8th graders and student-athletes who are reclassifying their eighth-grade year and are not quite ready for high school academically, socially, or developmentally.

We combine structured academics with elite athletic performance training to prepare students for high school success — both in the classroom and on the field.

We are currently seeking experienced, mission-driven middle school teachers to join our founding faculty team.

Open Positions & Weekly Hours

We are recruiting part-time teachers who want to work 15–25 hours per week, depending on subject area.

Open Subject Areas:

  • Mathematics / Registrar (Certified) – 25 hours per week
  • Language Arts (Certified) – 15 hours per week
  • Science – 15 hours per week
  • Social Studies – 15 hours per week

Position Overview

This role is ideal for:

  • Recently retired public school teachers
  • Former educators transitioning out of full-time teaching
  • Experienced middle school teachers seeking a part-time, high-impact environment

Experience working with 7th and 8th-grade students is required.

This is not a traditional large-classroom setting. Our model emphasizes small cohorts, structured learning environments, accountability, and mentorship.

Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom Instruction

  • Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in assigned subject area
  • Maintain a structured, focused classroom environment
  • Differentiate instruction to meet varying academic needs
  • Integrate character development and accountability into daily teaching

Grading and Reporting

  • Assess and evaluate student performance consistently
  • Maintain accurate and organized grade records
  • Provide timely progress reports to families and administration
  • Identify academic gaps and create support plans

Lesson Planning and Preparation

  • Develop weekly lesson plans aligned to curriculum standards
  • Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources
  • Maintain clear academic pacing guides
  • Collaborate with academy leadership on student progress

Facilitation of Learning Lab, Lunch & Recreation (as Assigned)

  • Supervise structured Learning Lab sessions
  • Support students during academic study blocks
  • Maintain order and reinforce behavioral expectations
  • Monitor lunch and recreation periods when scheduled

Tutoring & Outside Classroom Student-Athlete Support

  • Provide additional academic support as needed
  • Assist student-athletes in balancing training and coursework
  • Offer targeted remediation for students needing extra help

Parent Communications

  • Maintain proactive and professional communication with families
  • Participate in parent conferences as needed
  • Provide updates regarding academic progress and development
  • Address concerns constructively and promptly

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • North Carolina teaching certification required for Math and Language Arts positions
  • Proven experience teaching middle school (7th and 8th grade required)
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to balance academic rigor with mentorship
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to structure, discipline, and student growth
