Thrive Tutoring is seeking a passionate and skilled Executive Functioning Coach dedicated to helping middle and high school students succeed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SPED support and experience tailoring strategies to meet individual student needs. This role requires a hands-on, proactive approach to fostering academic growth through personalized support in time management, organization, planning, and study skills.
Duties:
- Assess students' present levels of performance to determine their needs and starting points.
- Teach strategies and help students develop skills in the areas of time management, planning, organization, overcoming procrastination, as well as advanced study skills.
- Work with students to create a game-plan for their week by modeling best practices and gradually releasing responsibility to the student to lead their learning.
- Travel to students' homes or designated tutoring locations as required (Primary locations: Brentwood, Franklin, Arrington, College Grove, Nolensville, Nashville)
- Maintain prompt and professional communication with the Thrive team, students, and families.
- Collaborate with the Thrive team and families to schedule sessions and develop detailed, personalized learning plans.
- Establish open lines of communication with caregivers and students' teachers to share progress and gain additional insights.
- Analyze assessment results and adjust educational strategies accordingly.
- Provide regular feedback to parents/guardians and students, including post-session notes after each session.
- Remain committed to your student(s) starting sometime between June and August UNTIL the end of the school year (end of May 2025)
Qualifications:
- At least two years of experience working successfully as an EF coach.
- A proven track record of leading students to measurable results.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build rapport and develop relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in special education, psychology, or related field
- IDEAL: Have a professional background in reading intervention at the secondary level for students with reading-based exceptionalities.

Pay: $40.00 - $80.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 3-6 hours per week
Schedule: Varies, but 4-8pm Monday-Thursday and Sunday afternoons are the most popular tutoring times. Most students prefer 2x per week sessions.
Work Location: In-person at the home of the student (occasionally at a public location, like a local library, school, or coffeeshop)
