Mig Welder/Fabricator

CSM Sheet Metal are looking for an experienced MIG Welder based at our Chorley Site PR6 7LX.

Responsibilities and Duties

* Mig Welding to to specifications set out on job card from daily schedule

*Interpret company documentation – i.e. drawings and job cards

*Set up welding plant correctly and safely for work to be carried out

*Check dimensions and quality of work in accordance with drawing and job card instructions

*Ensure finished items are stacked safely on appropriate pallets

*Keep work area tidy and free from hazards

Qualifications and Skills Required

* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

* Experience of sheet fabrication and welding and can produce work to a good standard

* Experience working within an engineering environment

* Good communication skills at all levels

* Works well and on own initiative

* Understands the advantages of working to Quality systems i.e. ISO9001

*TIG welding experience is desirable but not essential

*Ability to work as part of a team

Hours of work

Hours of work 7.30am - 4.30pm Monday - Thursday, Friday 7.30am - 12.30pm (39 hours per week)

Overtime Available @ time +1/3 first 4 hours & Time 1/2 thereafter

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.35-£14.25 per hour
