Company: IronRock Security Location: Essex & Passaic Counties, NJ Pay Rate: $17-$20 with regular SORA, $25-30 with armed license. Schedule: Full-time & Part-time available

Position Overview: IronRock Security is seeking a reliable and experienced Security Guard in Essex & Passaic Counties, NJ. Willing to train military veterans through our SORA training partners with future interest in hiring as an armed guard. This role requires a strong presence, excellent communication skills, and prior experience with access control. The Guard will help ensure site coverage, support fellow officers, and maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.

Responsibilities

Manage and monitor access control points

Conduct regular patrols of the retail property

Perform occasional mobile patrols as needed

Write clear incident and daily activity reports

Support scheduling coordination and communicate staffing needs

Maintain a professional and customer-friendly presence

Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies appropriately

Requirements

Military or security experience required

Access Control Experience Required

Valid driver's license (required for periodic mobile patrols)

Strong communication and report-writing skills

Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
