Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Millwright to join our manufacturing facility team. This vital role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure optimal production performance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical background, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to maintenance operations. As a key player in our industrial maintenance team, you will help uphold safety standards, improve equipment reliability, and support continuous manufacturing processes.

Duties

  • Install, align, dismantle, and assemble machinery using precision measuring instruments and schematics.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and high-voltage electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues using analysis skills, schematics, and testing tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and voltmeters.
  • Repair or replace worn or damaged parts through welding (including <LOCATION> welding), hydraulic repairs, or mechanical adjustments.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and control system diagrams for programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrical systems.
  • Conduct field service activities involving the use of scissor lifts and other industrial equipment to access hard-to-reach areas safely.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and asset history.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to optimize manufacturing processes while ensuring safety compliance and high-quality standards.
  • Support customer service initiatives by providing technical assistance during equipment upgrades or troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or Millwright within a manufacturing facility environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC/R systems, and electrical troubleshooting (low voltage and high voltage).
  • Experience working with schematics, technical drawings, PLCs, and control systems.
  • Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters effectively.
  • Skilled in welding techniques including <LOCATION> welding; certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking; experience with analysis skills for troubleshooting is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with industrial electrician practices and safety protocols related to high-voltage systems.
  • Ability to operate industrial equipment such as scissor lifts safely; valid certification preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality assurance.
  • Strong communication skills in English; military experience or background is considered an asset for discipline and technical aptitude.
