Job Summary:

The MIS Executive is responsible for managing and analyzing data to support business decisions. This role involves collecting, maintaining, and reporting data from various departments using tools like MS Excel, databases, and business intelligence software. The MIS Executive ensures timely and accurate reports are generated to help streamline operations and improve performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Management:

Maintain and update internal databases and data management systems.

Collect and consolidate data from various departments.

Reporting & Analysis:

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports (sales, operations, finance, etc.).

Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to management.

Create dashboards and visual reports using Excel, Power BI, or other tools.

Process Improvement:

Automate repetitive reporting tasks using Excel macros, SQL queries, or scripting tools.

Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements in reporting procedures.

Collaboration:

Work closely with department heads to understand data/reporting needs.

Assist in internal audits or compliance-related data reporting.

Data Integrity & Security:

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality of data.

Perform regular data validations and clean-up.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros, Charts)

Knowledge of SQL and database querying

Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to handle large datasets efficiently

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, IT, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field

1–3 years of experience in MIS or data reporting role

Experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation

Preferred Attributes:

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)

Quick learner and adaptable to new tools/technologies
