Mobile/Frontend Developer

Overview
We’re looking for a skilled Mobile/Frontend Developer to build the BlueCat AI application. You’ll create engaging, child-friendly interfaces and bring our AI companion to life across mobile and web platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the BlueCat AI mobile application (iOS, Android) and/or web application
• Implement responsive, accessible UI components that delight children and parents
• Build interactive learning modules and gamified experiences
• Integrate with backend APIs and AI services
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate designs into polished interfaces
• Ensure app performance, security, and compliance with children’s data protection standards
• Participate in technical decisions, including technology stack selection

Requirements — Must Have

• 3+ years of mobile or frontend development experience
• Proficiency in at least one cross-platform framework (Flutter, React Native) or native development (iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin)
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills for web development
• Experience with modern state management patterns
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and data handling
• Understanding of mobile/web UI/UX principles and accessibility
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
• Based in Doha, Qatar (or willing to relocate)

Nice to Have

• Experience building applications for children or educational products
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
• Experience with animations, micro-interactions, and engaging UI
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Previous EdTech, gaming, or consumer app experience
• Understanding of AI/LLM integration in applications
