Job Purpose
To follow up on the collection/recovery of outstanding payments and deductions related to key customers within Modern Trade.
Principal Responsibilities

Establish a robust mechanism to track, monitor and report on the status of outstanding payments, deductions, and the overall performance for key account customers

Analyse and reconcile transactions, identify discrepancies, and investigate any unpaid or overdue invoices

Review and analyse deductions applied for key customers and ensure the deductions comply with the terms and agreements

Work closely with the Modern Trade Sales team and Legal team to resolve disputes and discrepancies related to invoicing, deductions, payment issues and contract-related issues affecting payment recovery

Proactively follow up on outstanding payments with key customers to accelerate the payment process

Develop the implementation of collection strategies to improve the efficiency of the collection process

Identify, explore and pursue opportunities to improve recovery rates and mitigate financial risks

Continually seek to drive efficiency and accuracy of the payment process through implementation of best practices and automation

Continually seek to review and update Modern Trade SoPS and communicate changes to the Modern Trade Sales team once approved.

Keep abreast of industry trends and any compliance requirements to ensure adherence to local laws and international trade practices
