Job Purpose

To follow up on the collection/recovery of outstanding payments and deductions related to key customers within Modern Trade.

Principal Responsibilities

• Establish a robust mechanism to track, monitor and report on the status of outstanding payments, deductions, and the overall performance for key account customers
• Analyse and reconcile transactions, identify discrepancies, and investigate any unpaid or overdue invoices
• Review and analyse deductions applied for key customers and ensure the deductions comply with the terms and agreements
• Work closely with the Modern Trade Sales team and Legal team to resolve disputes and discrepancies related to invoicing, deductions, payment issues and contract-related issues affecting payment recovery
• Proactively follow up on outstanding payments with key customers to accelerate the payment process
• Develop the implementation of collection strategies to improve the efficiency of the collection process
• Identify, explore and pursue opportunities to improve recovery rates and mitigate financial risks
• Continually seek to drive efficiency and accuracy of the payment process through implementation of best practices and automation
• Continually seek to review and update Modern Trade SoPS and communicate changes to the Modern Trade Sales team once approved.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and any compliance requirements to ensure adherence to local laws and international trade practices

Background Requirements

Education: Graduate

Experience: 2-3 years relevant experience preferred.
