Job Title: Montessori Trainer & Academic CoordinatorOverview

The Montessori Trainer and Coordinator is responsible for training teachers in Montessori philosophy and methodology, ensuring quality implementation across classrooms, and coordinating academic activities in alignment with the Montessori curriculum and institutional standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Montessori Training

  • Conduct Montessori teacher training sessions (both theory and practical).
  • Train new and existing teachers on Montessori methodology, classroom setup, and lesson presentation.
  • Mentor and evaluate trainees during their practicum.
  • Design and update Montessori training materials, manuals, and assessment tools.

2. Academic Coordination

  • Coordinate daily academic schedules across Montessori levels (Toddler, Nursery, LKG, UKG).
  • Supervise lesson planning, activity design, and learning outcomes.
  • Ensure each classroom follows Montessori standards (materials usage, presentation sequence, observation records).
  • Support teachers in maintaining children’s progress records and portfolios.

3. Quality Assurance & Mentoring

  • Conduct regular classroom observations and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Guide teachers in maintaining discipline, order, and a prepared environment.
  • Identify training needs and organize internal workshops or refresher courses.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, hygiene, and child protection standards.

4. Coordination & Communication

  • Act as a bridge between management, teachers, and parents for academic matters.
  • Prepare monthly academic reports and present them to the management.
  • Coordinate with external trainers, consultants, or auditors for academic quality checks.
  • Organize parent orientation programs, exhibitions, and Montessori material demonstrations.

5. Curriculum Development

  • Review and adapt Montessori curriculum to suit the school’s vision and children’s needs.
  • Integrate cultural, art, and sensorial extensions into the Montessori framework.
  • Plan yearly academic calendars and activity schedules.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma/Certification in Montessori Education (AMI/AMS/NCME/Montitute or equivalent).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Montessori teaching; at least 1–2 years in a trainer/coordinator role.
